It's coming off still.... but it's soooo slow!
This week I saw 12 stone 9.5lbs so I'm going with that. *Nevermind the fact that 2 days later it had sprung up to 12.11 again, I am choosing to ignore that bit, as I've been so good and couldn't possibly have put on 1.5lbs in 3 days.*
I've been exercising too, which I think is helping me to look slimmer, without the scales moving much. I measured myself just now, and despite only losing 4lbs since I last took my measurements there is an inch difference on my waist, and 1/2 inch on both my thighs and upper arms. I can only put this down to running, swimming and yoga. My husband and I have been doing to Nike running app's 5k programme. I found it incredibly hard at first (still do!). I have never been a runner. Even at school, when I used to walk 4 miles a day and play netball, I found the annual cross-country race near-on impossible and walked most of it. The programme starts you off gently (even though I found the easiest of runs really hard!) and tells you to walk for a minute and then run the next, etc. We're now up to 3 miles- walking for 2 minutes and running for 2. At times, especially on warm evenings, I lumber to the end, and it literally takes all I have! But I'm moving my body and I'm having a go, and I can only get better, right? ;-)
I'm very impressed by all the exercise, I am very lazy in comparison!
ReplyDeleteOh Steph, it's really bloody hard! I must admit, it's fallen by the wayside a little this last few weeks. We were out running 2 hours after dinner in June/ July- so about 9pm/ 9.30pm but now it's getting too dark (we live rurally so to run along lanes in the dark is risky with the nutty drivers you get round here)
DeleteI really need to get my arse back into gear! x
