I've lost another pound since Monday, which I'm very pleased with- deserved too, as I've been extra good this week!
And now, the weekend begins again, let's try not to put it back on by Monday hey!

Another pound gone...
Forgot to update on Friday, which is just as well as I was carrying extra hormonal weight and the scales were not my friend!
This morning things have returned to normal and I can report a 1lb loss- yay!
I'm quite pleased as the weekend was not great- I had a big bar of Galaxy on Friday night and went way over calories on Saturday too.

Weigh-In Friday
I conveniently missed last Friday, did you notice? :-)
I'm down a pound and a measley half this week, which is the total loss for 2 weeks. But I'm pretty happy because I've had a few hurdles to negotiate- my mum's birthday meal out, being poorly (again), life etc.
But it is moving in the right direction. It's March already and I got back on the wagon after Christmas, I'm glad I seem to be incorporating a sensible way of eating into everday life (no binges or excess). Touch wood.
I had an intense interview this morning. I think it went well, keeping my fingers crossed. An income, at last, would mean I could afford to swim, maybe join a gym, and most importantly- buy myself a new wardrobe when I'm svelte!!
** I've just measured myself and I've not lost inches anywhere in a month apart from my upper arms- 1.5" each!! How odd! There's also .5" off my thighs. Apart from that- nothing. Aren't our bodies strange sometimes!***

A Frustrating Weigh-in
Hopping on and off my naughty scales this morning reveals zero loss this week. I know this isn't a reflection of how I've been doing, but it sure does make me frustrated!!
Week 5, or 6?, has gone as well as all the others. I'm doing well and I'm really pleased with myself. Just have to keep doing what I'm doing and I'm sure a substantial loss will follow next Friday. Won't it?!!

Doing Well
Things with me are good. I've not drunk alcohol since new year's eve, and I've been completely on plan since 2nd or 3rd Jan.
So far I've lost around 9 lbs. I've hit a bit of a plateau at the moment. I'm terribly pre-menstrual and it's playing havoc with the scales.
I have a test of self-restraint this upcoming weekend. My friend is coming over and there will be wine! I'll allow myself to have a few glasses but I have to be careful as it does cause me to be insatiably hungry which, coupled with the empty calories from the wine itself, could spell disaster. Some careful planning is needed.
I bought some jeans just after Christmas, they are an 18L from M&S which usually fit me well. These were tight as you like! I could barely do them up. I bought them anyway in the hope that I would be several pounds lighter in a couple of weeks. And the good news? I am. They fit very nicely now, and are even a wee bit baggy around the thighs. This leads me to think that I may have lost more inches than the weight on the scales reflects. I do hope so, the scales are frustrating the hell out of me at the moment.

In control
I'm feeling a lot more in control than I was a few weeks ago. I haven't been perfect, but I've been mindful of what I'm eating and have lost a few pounds.
For instance, I'm at my parents this week and I've just been offered boiled eggs and toast. I've declined as I've already had branflakes and I know what will happen if I accept. Real butter will be plonked in front of me, along with thick white bread and I'll be unable to exercise any restraint! An orgy of toast will follow and I'll feel sufficiently guilty to mess up the rest of my weekend by stuffing my pie-hole! So, I'm being sensible and avoiding the kitchen for the next hour. I feel very pleased with this very small victory!

Trying to get a grip!
16 stone 8lbs this morning. I'm planning on having a quiet, active and controlled weekend!
I was lying awake thinking about my chubbiness last night. I'm sick to death of going up and down the 16 stone bracket (I know i've said this before, sorry for sounding like a broken record!) I was also thinking about how much diffence there is in my face between the top and bottom of the 16 stones. I always thought the bigger you are, the less noticable any weight gain or loss is but I can definitely see and feel the difference. My face looks noticably fuller with a bigger double chin at the top end, and at 16 stone exactly it almost disappears. I need to use this as some motivation, as it's easy to think I'm getting nowhere and throw in the towel when I don't lose, like, 5 lbs in a week!
I'm dogsitting my parent's dog this weekend, so will be having some nice long walks with her. I'd like to report a pound or two off by next Wednesday.
